Laura Willcocks is a Senior Education and Research Associate leading the Eden education team to enhance skills, knowledge and confidence in Health Care Professionals looking after patients with diabetes and leads the wide variety of International and Bespoke projects within the The Leicester Diabetes Centre (LDC).

Laura’s passion for leadership and making a difference for patients sits at the core of her values and is evidenced throughout her career. Past experience includes both clinical and leadership roles in physiotherapy, Organisational Development and Training / Leadership lead, Patient Experience, Practice Development and as a CCG commissioning manager.

The Leicester Diabetes Centre has enabled Laura to bring all the skills she has developed into practice and use them to do what she loves the most– being able to help people develop and to make a difference for the patients. Laura has delivered education to patients on studies at LDC for many years and is a practising registered physiotherapist.

Laura is an avid football fan and is also a keen runner and cyclist coupled with a passion for reading.
