The 2021 World Diabetes Day theme is Access to Diabetes Care

World Diabetes Day takes place on the 14th November, with the theme this year: Access to Diabetes Care. One of the fundamental components of diabetes care is access to education. Established in 2012, EDEN has a sustained and successful track record in delivering excellent education, locally, nationally and internationally.

We are delighted to have the following resources for healthcare professionals available for World Diabetes Day

  • Injectable Therapies eLearning - Free access for seven days from 14th - 21st November

  • Facebook Live Q&A sessions with EDEN team - Discussing Insulin then and now.

Injectable Therapies eLearning

The 30 - 45 minute Injectable Therapies eLearning course aims to support you to:

  • Understand more about what insulin and GLP1s are, the different types and how they work

  • Be aware of some common insulin and management errors

  • Be aware of the methods of insulin or GLP-1 receptor agonist self-administration, including how to: choose the correct needle type and length for the individual, use a lifted skin fold appropriately, use the correct method for site rotation store insulin and check for injection site abnormalities

  • Be aware of where you can go for further advice

Join us on Facebook for a Live, where Vicki Alabraba and James Ridgeway will be marking 100 years of Insulin, with a discussion on ‘Insulin, then and now’. Followed by a Q&A session.
